Band-tailed Pigeon Columba fasciata
Habitat: Primarily occurs in ponderosa pine forests and Gambel oak shrublands and is often found in riparian and agricultural areas in the foothills adjacent to those habitats (Braun 1973).
Range in Colorado: Common summer resident in the foothills and lower mountains of southern Colorado, primarily from Mesa and Larimer counties southward (Braun 1973).
Status: CDOW Small Game Bird
