The MapIt! application will no longer be available due to redundant services and outdated software that is no longer supported.
New technology has allowed us to improve our mapping services for hunters and anglers:
- The Colorado Hunting Atlas is a much improved version of the popular MapIt! interactive mapping tool. The Colorado Hunting Atlas allows users to view big game concentrations and game management units on top of street maps, USGS topographic maps or high resolution color aerial photography. The Hunter Resource Report allows hunters to create a list of important emergency and contact information, field office locations, campgrounds, CDOW license agents & more. Annotation tools allow you to customize your printable maps and a variety of search options mean you should be able to find reference maps, Township, Range and Sections and place locations for almost any natural feature in Colorado.
- The Colorado Fishing Atlas allows users to search for fishing opportunities by species, specific interest or proximity to your home or destination. Use the simple map interface to locate and view recommended opportunities for the family, remote fly fishing or ice fishing. Additional information such as handicap accessible fishing access, stocked waters, boat ramps, special fishing regulations, stream gages (including links to real time data), license agents and Gold Medal waters is included on top of Bing ™ street maps, USGS topographic maps or high resolution color aerial photography. The Fishing Resource Report provides a printable report of all nearby Fishing Information Points and associated species, CPW, BLM and USFS Offices, emergency facilities, campgrounds and license agents within a chosen distance of a map click location.
