The following links provide access to websites and maps that contain valuable vegetation and habitat information:
- Colorado GAP Analysis Project- The purpose of the Gap Analysis Program (GAP) is to provide broad geographic information on the status of ordinary species
(those not threatened with extinction or naturally rare) and their habitats in order to provide land managers, planners, scientists, and policy makers with the information they need to make better-informed decisions.
- Southwest Regional Gap Analysis Project- The Southwest Regional Gap Analysis Project (SWReGAP) is an update of the Gap Analysis Program’s mapping and assessment of biodiversity for the five-state region encompassing Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico, and Utah.
- Riparian and Wetland Mapping- The development of this worldwide website and associated FTP site is the culmination of over ten years effort on the part of the Colorado Division of Wildlife. It reflects a true interagency, multi-jurisdictional cooperative effort that recognizes the importance of mapping,
protecting, and managing these unique riparian habitats so important to the State's wildlife resource.
- Colorado Vegetation Classification Project (CVCP)- The CVCP is an interagency, cooperative effort by the Colorado Division of Wildlife (CDOW), Bureau of Land Management (BLM), and
U.S.Forest Service (USFS) to provide a landscape-level vegetation dataset for the state of Colorado
