Q:  How do I zoom to a particular area of interest (AOI)?

A:  If you know your physical AOI on the map, use the zoom in tool  to click and drag the mouse over the AOI. 

If you are already zoomed into another area, use the zoom to the full extent icon first.

      -or-

If you know your UTM coordinates for the upper left and the lower right, you can type them into the spaces in the frame titled "Select UTM Coordinates:" .

 

Q:  How do I hotlink to a photo for a given point?

A:  1.   Zoom to your area of interest.

2.    Make the point data visible and active by selecting both the Active and the Visible buttons for the Point Data layer.

3.    Click on the hyperlink button.

4.   Click on the point that you are interested in viewing.  Keep in mind, not all photos are available to view.  When this happens, you will get an error screen.

 

Q:  How do I zoom to a watershed and obtain watershed statistics by vegetation class?

A:  1.   Go to the “Pick a Watershed to Zoom to:” screen on the right side of the Main Screen. 

2.   Click on the box in this window and this will give you a drop down list from and from there you can select a watershed name.

3.    The screen will zoom to that watershed and another window will open with the attributes for that unit by veg class.

 

Q:  How do I choose a select group of vegetation classes to be viewed on the screen?

A:  1.   Click on the Display Raster by Vegetation Type button. 

2.    A pop-up window will be displayed that allows you to click on each of the Vegetation types that you want.  To select more than one type hold down the “Shift” or the “Ctrl” key.

3.    Click “Enter” to get the new image on the main screen.
